The other day I saw a butterfly flit past my window. It surprised me that this gentle creature was here so early! He inspired me to create a series of wall hangings, unlike anything that I have ever done. Created from various fiber layers including: wool roving, Angelina, and tulle, they were then free-motion embroidered with metallic threads. Each butterfly garden is distinct in colour and mood, yet all blend together as if you're actually in a garden.
