Graceful Ginkgo
About a month ago I was coming home through a vacant lot and was delighted to find a ginkgo leaf! When I looked around I saw they were all over and was so excited, as I had previously thought ginkgo trees only grew in China!! I loved that little leaf, but it soon withered and died, so I decided to dedicate a wall hanging to it. It might not look that good in the photo, but it looks great in real life. It was a challenge, though, being made of faux suede, upholstery fabric, organza and, or course, cotton. It was the largest piece I've ever done, and I think that will be my last big one! (Never say never, though, right!) Anyway, I embellished it with lots of Swarovski crystals and it looks amazing!
